Bamboo, which belongs to the Bambusoideae subfamily of grass, exists in different varieties namely, Bambousa vulgaris, Bambousa oldhamii, Dendrocalamus latiflorus, Phyllostachys bambusoides and Bambousa arundinacea (Latin).
